At the 02/27/23 School Board Meeting, board members unanimously approved the contract for ROCORI School District's next Superintendent, Kevin Enerson. He will begin his assignment at ROCORI on July 1, 2023. Below is a message from Mr. Enerson:
I am humbled and honored to be named the next Superintendent for the ROCORI School District. The tradition of excellence and community pride in your students and school is second to none. I look forward to getting to know each community in the District and make connections to keep ROCORI moving forward to meet the needs of each student we serve. A little bit about myself, I was born and raised in Oklee, a small town in the northwest part of the state and earned my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Mayville State University. From there I started teaching in Edmore, ND and also coached basketball and baseball. I began my administrative role as a K-12 Principal and Activities Director for Climax-Shelly Public Schools followed by a lengthy stint at Le Sueur-Henderson as a Secondary Principal. For the past seven years, I have been the Superintendent for Pipestone Area Schools. My wife Mardi and I have been married for 30 years and our two children live in this region of the state, so it is great to get closer to them. I love the work I do every day and ROCORI’s vision of “Making a Difference Today for a Better Tomorrow” is something I believe in! Providing a high-quality education to our children will be my highest priority and I want everyone in the community to work with us to make that happen. I am excited to begin this work with your school board, staff, parents, students, and community. July 1st can’t come soon enough! Kevin Enerson Future ROCORI Superintendent
